The 2017 BMW 5-Series is likely to get a new Remote View 3D technology. The new technology will use the car's integrated 360-degree camera, which will provide information to the driver about the car's surroundings. Although, the German carmaker has not revealed any information about the product, but has teased few images and a video.
The Remote 3D View will display a virtual view of the upcoming 5-Series and its surroundings. The driver can also access information via his/her smartphone BMW Connected app. This also indicates that the upcoming sedan will be offered with more innovative features and technologies than the current-generation model.
The new technology might also use many cameras and parking sensors around the vehicle to get a 360-degree view of the car such as overhead view, side view, front and back views, which will be displayed on the in-built navigation screen. This will help the driver to park the car effortlessly by just looking at the screen.
The 2017 BMW 5 Series has been spied testing several times, which is expected to be first previewed at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, while the launch will happen later this year. The car manufacturer will also launch the 5-Series with the company's CLAR platform at a later stage.
