Yamaha showcased its T7 Concept at 2016 EICMA show and the company has now released a new teaser video of the production version. While Yamaha will reveal the new motorcycle on 6th September 2017, it is known that Yamaha T7 is being developed with official rally team in France, R&D team in Italy and design team in Netherland. It will share its engine with Yamaha's MT-07 engine that has a displacement of the 689cc engine and produces 73.7 hp of power & 68Nm of torque. Expect production version to share its components with the concept version such as an aluminium fuel tank, four-project LED headlight, KYB fork suspension, carbon fibre fairing and skid plate, and a custom Akrapovič exhaust. The motorcycle will get a 21-inch front wheel and 18 inch rear wheel and will have a kerb weight around 180kgs. The production version of the T7 will get low seat height as compared to the concept version. It is expected that the production version might get a new moniker and will come with the off-road capabilities.
The company has not announced when the T7 Adventure motorcycle will be launched in India. The motorcycle will first make its global debut later this year followed by the market introduction in 2018. Yamaha Motor India has not shared any plans of bringing T7 to India yet. But given the increasing demand for adventure motorcycles in India, Yamaha India might consider bringing the T7 to India sooner than later.
