TVS Akula 310 has been spied many times in India till now and is expected to be launched by the middle of this year. Now though, the production-ready TVS Akula 310 has been spotted without camouflage in the country by xBhp, showcasing its design and equipment.
The anticipated motorcycle will be powered by a 313 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that will generate 32 hp of maximum power and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine will also power the upcoming BMW G310R and has been co-developed by TVS and BMW. The Akula 310 is expected to offer about 36 kmpl of fuel efficiency.
The new Akula 310 is expected to share some of the designing and mechanical components with the BMW G310R. The upcoming motorcycle will be equipped with ABS (Antilock braking System) as standard along with front and rear disc brakes and upside down front forks. The fully faired motorcycle will also get twin headlamp cluster with DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps), LED tail lamp and split seats. The Akula 310 also gets a wider and bigger windshield and will be available with a choice of new body colours such as gloss blue and a matte black.
The company is expected to produce the upcoming Akula 310 at its Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu and is likely to be priced around Rs 2.5 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The TVS Akula 310 will compete with the likes of the KTM RC250 and the Yamaha FZ25.
