Kawasaki's flagship supersport motorcycle ZX10RR will now be available in India at prices starting at Rs 21.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The ZX10RR is an upgraded model of the ZX-10R, and the brand will only be manufacturing 500 units of the motorcycle. It was first showcased at the 2016 Intermot motorcycle show and will come in special Winter Edition matte black paint.
The ZX-10RR is powered by a liquid cooled, 998cc in line four engine, which develops 200 hp and gets a 10 hp boost with ram air assist. The unit produces 113 Nm of torque at 11,500 rpm delivering power to the wheel via a six-speed gearbox. The equipped KQS quick-shifter that allow both up and down shifting without the use clutch. It travels on 17 inch Marchesini seven-spoke forged aluminium wheels that have sticky Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres slapped on them. An optional race kit is also available for the ZX10RR, limited edition.
Suspension duties on the motorcycle gets fully adjustable inverted 43mm forks at front and fully adjustable shock dual-stage compression damping at rear.The stopping power are taken care by semi-floating 330mm discs with Brembo M50 Monoblock 4-piston calipers at front and 220mm disc at rear. The motorcycle is available in single seat and has a fuel tank capacity of 17 litres.
In terms of safety, the ZX10RR gets ABS and Bosch inertial measurement unit (IMU) that gauges data across 6 axes of movement. Its traction control has five modes and there’s a three-mode launch control too.
