Honda has registered record sale of more than one lakh units of its 125cc motorcycle, the CB Shine in April 2017. It is the only 125cc motorcycle in the country to sell these many units in a month. Honda managed to capture 54% of the market share in 125cc segment through its CB Shine and CB Shine SP.
Honda sold 100,824 units of the CB Shine in April 2017, which is a 51% increment in terms of year on year growth. Last year, the sales figures of the motorcycle were at 66,691 units. The CB Shine was first launched in India in April 2006, and by October 2010 the company marked sale of 10 lakh units. Also, Honda CB Shine became the first motorcycle in its segment to attain 50 lakh sales mark in February 2017.

Such is the shine of the brand with Honda’s high quality and reliability that today every second 125cc motorcycle customer in India is buying a CB Shine," Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd said.
The Honda CB Shine is powered by a 124.73 cc single cylinder engine producing 10.16 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 10.30 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The CB Shine has a starting price of Rs 56,034 while the CB Shine SP starts at Rs 60,914 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
