Harley-Davidson launches its 2017 range in India priced from Rs 4.91 lakh

American manufacturer introduces new Milwaukee-Eight engine series and colour options on select models along with BS4 compliant range.

Harley-Davidson India has launched its new 2017 model range and have also added the CVO Limited, Road Glide Special and the Roadster to their lineup. The motorcycles are powered by an all-new Milwaukee-Eight engine series, consisting of the Milwaukee-Eight 107 oil cooled and Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114 on select motorcycles. ABS is now standard in the across the product portfolio.
The 2017 CVO limited is powered by a 1,868cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 twin-cooled engine, which churns out 165Nm of torque mated to a six-speed gearbox. The suspension duties are carried out by Showa shocks at the front and emulsion technology equipped shocks at rear. The motorcycle is loaded with a 6.5-inch colour touch screen compatible with USB, Bluetooth and iPod. In addition, the speedometer and tachometer offer readouts such as gear indicator, low oil pressure, cruise control, ABS, fog/aux lamp indicator and a tyre pressure monitoring system indicator. The CVO Limited measures 2,600mm in length and 720mm in height. The motorcycle rides on a 17-inch wheel at the front and a 16 inch unit at rear, both of which wear Dunlop tyres. The CVO limited is available in in Palladium silver/ phantom blue shades.

The other new motorcycles in the 2017 range are the Road Glide Special, Street Glide special and the Road King powered by a Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine. This unit displaces 1,745cc and breathes through four-valves per cylinder and a single chain driven cam. While power figures have not been disclosed, torque is rated at a healthy 150Nm and this engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The motorcycle also gets features such as LED headlamps with LED DRL's and keyless ignition. Braking duties are carried out by Reflex dual disc linked Brembo brakes with ABS. For the touring purpose, the rider get features such as rubber isolated footpegs, saddlebags, high output charging system and a comfortable handle bar. The touring motorcycle is now available with colours Vivid Black, Black Denim, Hard Candy Custom Mystic Purple Flake, Hard Candy Custom Hot Rod Red Flake, Hard Candy Custom Black Gold Flake.

Harley-Davidson has also introduced the Forty-Eight, Roadster and 1200 custom powered by 1202cc, air-cooled, Evolution V-twin engine. The Forty-Eight and 1200 Custom churns out 96Nm of torque while Roadster produces 98Nm of torque.

The IRON 883 is powered by 883cc air-cooled evolution engine which churns out 70Nm of torque. The motorcycle travels on a 19-inch wheel at front  and 16-inch wheel at rear with Michelin Scorcher tyres. The motorcycle is now available in Charcoal Denim, Black denim, Red iron Denim, Olive Gold and Hard Candy Custom Hot Rod Red Flake colour options.

The entry level motorcycle Street 750 is powered by 749cc liquid-cooled Revolution X V-twin engine which produces 59Nm of torque. The motorcycle measures 2215mm in length and 720mm in height. It travels on a 17-inch wheel with MRF Zapper FS Bias tyre at the front and 15-inch wheel with MRF Zapper Y-Bias tyre at the rear. It is available in Vivid black, Black Denim, two-tone Vivid Black Deluxe and Fire Red paint schemes.
