DSK Benelli has finally launched its much-awaited motorcycle Benelli 302R in India at a price of Rs 3.48 lakh, ex-showroom, India. The Benelli 302R is a fully-faired motorcycle and an entry level product in the company's portfolio. The motorcycle was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and shares its styling with its sibling TNT 300.Based on the trellis frame and is powered by a 300cc, in-line, two-cylinder, water-cooled, four-stroke engine. The engine churns out 38.26 hp of power and 27 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets upside down front forks and an adjustable mono shock suspension at the rear. Brake setup on the motorcycle consists of twin 260mm disc brakes at the front and a single 240mm disc with ABS as standard. The kerb weight of the motorcycle is 198 kg and it has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres. Dimensionally, it measures 2,150mm in length, 745mm in width, 1,115 mm in height and has a 150 mm ground clearance. At the front, the motorcycle gets split headlamps, visor and wide handle bars, while at the rear it gets LED tail-lamps and side mounted exhausts.
The company dealerships has already started accepting the bookings of the motorcycle at a token amount of Rs 25,000. The Benelli 302R is available in three colours- White Rosso, Silver Verde and Red Nero and will compete with the likes of Yamaha YZF-R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 300 in the sub-500cc segment.
