The 150 stands for engine capacity and 31st is a model design number. Earlier, the company also filed a patent design for a 150cc faired version of a motorcycle and it is expected that the production version will be in both the forms, naked and fully-faired. The 150cc motorcycle is expected to be powered by a single-cylinder, water-cooled engine and will feature a beam type frame. The motorcycle gets split headlamps like the KTM Duke 390, disc brakes at front and rear and upside fork at the front. The 150cc motorcycle will be a mass market and might come with lower power and torque figures in India. When launched in India, the naked version will compete with the Suzuki Gixxer, Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Honda Hornet 160, while, the fully faired version will directly compete with the Suzuki Gixxer SF and Yamaha R15.
