The new 2018 Bajaj Avenger Street 220 has been recently spied undisguised. Looking at the spy images issued by Thrust Zone, one can see that the motorcycle witnesses some significant changes when compared to the outgoing model. One of the most prominent changes on the new 2018 Bajaj Avenger Street 220 is the new paint scheme that instantly distinguishes it from the existing model. The spied unit is seen with a matte black colour with red graphics on it. The headlamp section also seems to have seen some revisions and the 2018 model will most likely receive a new cowl up front. Also, there have been rumours on the web hinting that the motorcycle will come with LED headlamp with DRLs (Daytime Running Lights).

Mechanically, there should be no changes to the new 2018 Bajaj Avenger Street 220. By that, we mean that the bike will get the same 220cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to a five-speed transmission system. The motor is good for churning out respective power and torque outputs of 19 hp and 17.5 Nm. The braking system of the motorcycle will come with the same set up with a 260mm disc brake upfront along with a 130mm drum brake at the rear. This time around, the company might offer an ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) at least as an option.

Another interesting update is the inclusion of all digital instrument cluster that will definitely enhance the desirability of the motorcycle. The unit mounted on the fuel tank is also expected to come with a digital touch and that will act like a cherry on top. The tail lamp of the new 2018 Bajaj Avenger Street 220 looks refreshed and it seems sharper than the unit that comes with the outgoing model.

The 2018 Bajaj Avenger Street 220 is expected to demand a slight premium over the existing model that is currently being retailed in India at a price of Rs 89,190 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle will lock its horns with the recently launched Suzuki Intruder 150 in the Indian two-wheeler market.
