Auto Expo 2018 has seen the unveiling of multiple electric vehicles and the Tata RaceMo +- electric is one of them. The Tata RaceMo was unveiled for the first time at 2017 Geneva Motor Show but that was a petrol engine powered model. The Tata RaceMo’s engine is mounted on the rear and the two-door sportscar is the first such vehicle to be made by the company. The car has been designed at the company’s design studio in Italy. The Tata RaceMo that was showcased at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show was powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. The said engine fitted on the RaceMo is good for churning out a maximum power and torque outputs of 186 hp along with a peak torque of 210 Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed AMT gearbox that comes with paddle shifters for a sportier feel. The company claims an acceleration time of 6 seconds from 0 to 100 kmph for the RaceMo.
The Tata RaceMo +- electric showcased at Auto Expo 2018 offers a total range of 350 kms per single full charge. Besides, there is also an option of fast charging with the help of which the customer can get a decent range after a few hours of charging. All this is thanks to an electric motor that produces 200 hp of power and it comes linked to a lithium ion battery pack. The styling of the Tata RaceMo +- showcased at the Auto Expo 2018 is identical to that of its petrol powered sibling. The car is under 4 metres in length and it has a minimum ground clearance of 165mm.
Currently, there is no clarity whether the Tata RaceMo +- electric car will make its way to the Indian car market. For more updates on Auto Expo 2018, stay tuned with us!
