Auto Expo 2018 is going in full swing and Tata Motors has showcased the Nexon AMT at its booth at the biennial event. The compact SUV was launched in India a few months back and it earned a decent response from the customers. Tata Nexon was launched in a manual gearbox version only and the manufacturer said that the AMT version will be launched at a later stage, depending upon the demand. The new AMT option for the Tata Nexon will be offered with both, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. There will also be a creep mode with the AMT model and its benefit is that you don't need to stay active all the time with the throttle when it comes to stop and go traffic. The said model will also feature a hill assist. The three driving modes on the Tata Nexon AMT namely Eco, City and Sport have been retained on the AMT model as well. T=Furthermore, the triptronic mode will offer the drivers liberty to change gears manually.
The new Tata Nexon AMT has been on display at Auto Expo 2018 in a new shade that goes by the name Etna Orange. Other than the new colour, the AMT version has nothing on the exteriors to distinguish it from the manual model. Tata Motors has not revealed any launch date for the new Nexon AMT compact SUV. We believe that the new model will hit the dealerships in India in the months to come.
If you wish to opt for the new Tata Nexon AMT that has been showcased at Auto Expo 2018, be ready to spend Rs 40,000 to rs 50,000 than the price of the standard manual model. The company has been offering the AMT to the mid and top spec models of its car and with the Nexon as well, we expect the same to happen.
