Rajasthan’s Gandhi Nagar railway station at Jaipur becomes the first all-women non-suburban railway station of the nation. The station which will be operated by 40 women railway employees, includes various posts such as ticket checkers, RPF, operations staff and reservation and booking supervisors.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today approved many doubling and electrification projects across the nation, which will benefit the passengers in various ways, which will include reduction in train delays, faster trains and elimination of carbon emissions.
