Nissan Motor India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Nissan Motor, had sold 4,028 units in January 2013.
"Nissan Motor India has seen a turnaround in sales, starting October last year with the roll out of Terrano. After seeing a decline in volumes in December, Terrano sales again shot up to 3,130 units in January and this helped the company post a 29 per cent growth in total sales," sources said.
It also sold 1,273 units of small car Micra and 650 units of mid size sedan Sunny as well as 138 units of Evalia during the period.
Nissan Motor India produces four models - Micra, Sunny and Evalia, besides Terrano - at its Chennai plant.
