"Inconvenience to commuters yesterday has been taken seriously by us. We checked all 128 air-conditioning units last night and found them in order. We are committed to provide our commuters the best of services," an MMO Pvt Limited spokesperson said in a statement issued here today.
Out of 16 metro railway trains in service, one train's air-conditioning unit malfunctioned during a heavy downpour yesterday which led to its floor getting flooded due to water pouring in from the air conditioning vent.
Within minutes photographs of the flooded coach and rain water pouring in from the ceiling went viral on the Internet, after which the company replaced the train with another one which was kept on stand-by.
The company spokesperson also said that the train was put back into service this morning.
