SpiceJet offers fifth super sale of tickets, prices start @Re 1, new airfare war starts

Budget airline SpiceJet has launched its fifth super sale of tickets on Tuesday. Valid for three days only, SpiceJet offers tickets starting at Re 1 (excl taxes) meant for travel from July 1.

This sale has been launched to introduce SpiceJet Ltds all-new network that came into effect on March 30.

"The all-new enhanced network has improved connectivity, increased frequencies between metros, better timings, and more same day return options," a company statement said.

In addition to the Re 1 offer, discounted fares are also available for Rs 799 and Rs 1,499, and at other attractive rates (statutory taxes and fees not inclusive), depending on specific flight and date of travel. The limited seats offer is available for bookings made in the period April 1 to April 3, 2014 only.

We have been at the forefront in the Indian market in stimulating demand by offering discounted fares. These offers have served as a catalyst for travel for many potential flyers willing to plan and book early, said Kaneswaran Avili, Chief Commercial Officer, SpiceJet Ltd, who assumed his role today.
