Thackeray said, Mobilising a crowd is not difficult in Delhi. Chhagan Bhujbal did the same when he held a rally of OBCs at Ramlila Maidan. Lalu Prasad had in the past succeeded in holding reins in Bihar but soon he was himself mired in corruption. Today, Kejriwal is a new pungiwalla, he wrote adding, We wish his newly-formed government in Delhi good luck. But what is objectionable is his attitude to dismiss other parties as dalal (agents) and corrupt.
Kejriwals contempt for parties and governments in other states, who are also elected by the people through the democratic means, displays his utmost arrogance, Thackeray said. The Sena chief observed, The AAP should stop indulging in stunts and deliver the grand promises it made to the people of Delhi.
Maharashtra politicians have been intensifying their attack against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal with the aim to thwart the partys chances in the state ahead of 2014 Lok Sabha and Assembly polls. NCP president Sharad Pawar had said he would like to see how the AAP will bring down the prices of vegetables and farm products.
Former BJP president Nitin Gadkari dismissed AAP as another face of the Congress. The BJP leader indicated that AAP and Congress leaders had struck a deal to come to power. A senior leader, however, said, This is not the right time to criticise Kejriwal. He has won the elections seeking huge public mandate. If we start criticising Kejriwal now it would undermine our political credibility.
