Continuing its magnificent run, 'Kick' box office collections (India only) are now at over Rs 200 crore, beating Salman's own previous best notched up by 'Ek Tha Tiger', which made Rs 198.78 crore.
Though 'Kick' missed the Rs 200 crore mark by a whisker on the 2nd weekend - collecting Rs 198.11 crore at the domestic market as of Sunday - it managed to achieve the target on Monday.
"As you read this, Salman Khan marches into Rs 200 crore club. #Kick crosses Rs 200 crore mark today [Mon]. Salman's HIGHEST GROSSER in India," tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
With today's figure, the Bollywood star's biggest film now becomes the fifth top grosser of all time, upstaging 'Ek Tha Tiger' and Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' (Rs 188.57 crore). 'Kick' is now within touching distance of Aamir Khan's '3 Idiots' which amassed Rs 202.47 crore.
The skyrocketing business of the film is all set to continue in its second week with no major release till next Friday.
'Kick' had taken five days to enter the Rs 100-crore club. This year, the first film to open the roster for the exclusive club was another Salman starrer 'Jai Ho', which incidentally was the highest grosser before 'Kick' took over.
