Race for top jobs at PMO hotting up

With Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi set to be sworn into office along with his council of ministers on Monday, the race for top jobs at the Prime Ministers Office is hotting up.

In the running for the all important post of Principal Secretary to PM, are two former bureaucrats Nripendra Mishra and Anil Baijal. While Mishra is the former chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Baijal has served as the Union home secretary in the previous NDA government in 2004.

Meanwhile, 1976 batch IAS officer Sutanu Behuria is being seen as the front runner for the post of Cabinet Secretary. Current incumbent Ajit Seth is all set to retire in June this year.
