Accountant General (accounting & establishment) PK Mishra told FE that by logging on to the website, http:// agorissa.nic.in, pensioners would be able to know the status of their applications.
He said the AG office receives about 20,000 applications relating to pension and GPF claims every year.
Normally a month's time is needed to dispose of the cases.
Stating that the website would provide information at four different stages, Mishra said a pensioner would be able to know the status of his application--whether it has reached the AG office or has it been returned with objections or has been cleared for payment.
Senior deputy AG (administration) BK Mohanty said the unique feature of the website is that pensioners can make necessary corrections online as the tracker provides information about the kind of objections raised to the cases that have been returned.
