Now, Jet Airways cuts ticket cost for subsidiary

Jet Airways on Friday joined other airlines in offering low fares on a limited basis, announcing a 30-day advance purchase scheme on domestic flights of its no-frills subsidiary Jet Konnect.

With the peak travel season coming to an end, Indian carriers, including Air India, have triggered a fare war offering limited period low-priced tickets across most sectors within the country.

As per a circular to travel agents, the Jet Konnect scheme is valid for sale on Thursday and Friday with travel up to April 15, like the offer of most other airlines.

Travel portals have reported an upswing in bookings of air tickets soon after these schemes were announced two days ago. The move came as the airlines attempted to mop up funds for the March quarter, which is traditionally a weak period
