NOBW Demands 25% Hike In Special Pay

The National Organisation of Bank Workers (NOBW) has demanded a 25-per cent hike in special pay for the clerical staff and 30 per cent for the sub-staff, apart from a 100-per cent neutralisation and merger of DA in the basic pay.

With the previous wage settlement expiring by October, NOBW, affiliated to the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, in a submission to the Indian

Banks Association (IBA), also demanded increase in the city compensatory allowance, house rent allowance and one more option for pension.

In a release issued here, the organisation said the provident fund should be 12 per cent of the basic pay and that privilege leave could be allowed to be accumulated up to 360 days and sick leave should be allowed to be encashed upon retirement or availing of volumtary retirement scheme. (PTI)
