No ban on recruitment in Centre govt

There is no ban on recruitment in central government, minister of state for personnel Suresh Pachauri told Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Asked if there was any proposal to increase the number of posts in Class III and Class-IV categories by decreasing the number of posts in Class I and Class II categories, he said there is no such proposal. Posts are created on the basis of functional requirements and justification. Posts are created in appropriate groups and scales depending on the specific needs and requirements, Pachari added.

329 employers blacklisted

As many as 329 employers in the Gulf and other countries have been blacklisted for ill-treatment and non-payment of salaries to Indians, the Lower House was informed. Minister of overseas Indian affairs

Vayalar Ravi said complaints are received from time to time from Indian nationals working abroad, particularly in Gulf countries, regarding non-payment of salaries, ill-treatment and poor living conditions. He said ordinarily there are no cases of delay in repatriation of mortal remains of Indians who die while working abroad.
