NetApp outlines growth strategy for Chandigarh to expand customer base

NetApp today announced plans to significantly boost the existing number of channel partners and enhance presence in Chandigarh as a strategic move to capture market share in growing tier 2 cities across India.

Addressing a press conference here today, Rajeev Saxena- Director, India Public Sector, Commercial and SAARC NetApp Marketing & Services Private Limited commented that with an approximate net income of GBP 20.38 million, and an industrial base that historically focused on manufacturing and more recently on emerging industries like IT and ITES and biotechnology, Chandigarh is fast becoming one of the preferred investment hotspots in the country. With innovative storage solutions, NetApp is investing in enabling partners so that they are skilled enough to gauge the market requirements, play an advisory role and win customer confidence.

Rajeev Saxena said that Chandigarh is at an ideal stage for advanced information technology (IT) growth and the critical need for information infrastructure/ storage technologies will only increase in future. NetApp has a strategy to expand to the next level of cities. In Chandigarh, a city which has a sizeable addressable market, we plan to expand our partner and market coverage. We see that the overall mood and outlook for the market is upbeat and the demand drivers for storage solutions range across large enterprises, service providers, IT services, retail, manufacturing, government, education, infrastructure, banking and finance, telecom and more"
