Moto G upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat platform in India

Moto GMoto G's 16GB version was sold out in first 15 minutes after introduction of the mobile phone in Flipkart.
Motorola Mobility has upgraded Moto G phones to Android 4.4 KitKat platform in India. Moto G, launched on February 5, is available in India at Rs 12,499 for 8 GB and Rs. 13,999 for the 16 GB versions.

The latest version of the Android will bring cool new features to the Moto G, including an improved phone dialer, new photo editing options in the Gallery app, the ability to print documents and photos, and more.

Moto G generated tremendous response in the country. Motorola, which has tied up with e-commerce site Flipkart as exclusive partner for selling Moto G, has received massive booking orders.

There has been tremendous response from online shoppers to the launch of Moto G in Flipkart with the 16GB version being sold out in first 15 minutes. Flipkart's mobile sales on February 6 was five times the usual daily mobile sales because of the launch.

Both the versions of the Moto G are now available to order in Flipkart. Flipkart is offering EMI options to consumers from leading banks like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank to buy Moto G.

Here's how a Moto G user can upgrade to Android 4.4.2 KitKat:

1. Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.

2. Select "About phone"

3. Select "System updates"

4. Select "Download". After the software is downloaded, select "Install"

5. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically
