That Madhuri Dixit Nene loves dancing is known to everyone and her passion for the art pushed the actress to come up with a digital dance academy. The academys latest offering is an application developed by Dixit's media and content company RnM Moving Pictures, which is the official app for dancewithmadhuri.com. The main aim of the application is to reach out to all the dance lovers (especially Nene's fans) across the globe. After downloading the application, the user needs to register by logging in from their Facebook account or setting up an account on the app using their email id. After verification, the user lands on the home page where a delightful photograph of Nene welcomes you, along with an introduction video. It is here that you also get a tutorial of the application's functioning. Under the main menu, you will find a host of categories which includes your profile (where you can keep a tab on the badges, ranks and points earned during the learning sessions). The user's journey as a learner starts under the Learn Dance tab, where you can choose from a variety of choreographers, gurus or Nene herself as your teacher. One click and you will find different songs and chunks of choreography, which are divided into several lessons and parts of 2 minutes each. As of now, the user can access four songs taught by Nene which includes Mai ni mai, Ek do teen, Aaja Nachle and Ghaghra. The actress has also got help from choreographer Remo D'Souza and her guru Pandit Birju Maharaj, who have taught Bolly hop and Kathak Thumri respectively. Once the user is done rehearsing, they can upload a video of themselves (while performing on the chosen song) under the Submissions tab, to earn more points and badges. You can also compete against other users and get special badges through votes. A special section is dedicated to Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (judged by Nene) where choreographers from the show are seen teaching a variety of forms including Jazz, Flamenco, Contemporary among others. There is also a tab dedicated to friends and co stars of Nene from the industry, who talk about the academy and Nene as a dancer. It would be interesting to see the dance forms divided into different levels, which can be enjoyed by everyone, be it a dance instructor or someone with two left feet. Right now, the choreography is simple and tends to get a little monotonous. But at a time when most individuals are busy with their fast-paced life, the online academy is a good initiative for dance lovers, who don't get the time to enroll for classes. The app works smoothly and with a good internet speed, you won't find any buffering problems as well. The best part about Dance with Madhuri is that it is ad free, which gives the user a chance to enjoy dancing without any breaks. But it is definitely a great buy for those who can't enough of dancing.
