Honda Mobilio available in India at a price tag of Rs. 6.49 lakh

Japanese car maker Honda has launched its much awaited seven seater MPV, the Mobilio. The vehicle is available at a price of Rs. 6.49 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi for petrol base variant) and Rs. 7.89 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi for the diesel base variant).

Earlier, the car maker showcased this MPV sensation at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo and this machine has the caliber to challenge other popular MPVs in India like Chevrolet Enjoy, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Nissan Evalia and Toyota Innova. In order to draw customers attention, the car maker started the bookings of this phenomenal car 2 weeks ago and its deliveries have started from the day of its launch. The company has made Honda Mobilio available in three exciting trims i.e. the E, the S and the V, however another sporty looking RS variant is available in the diesel in-line variants as the top-end variant. The Mobilio is based on Hondas Man Maximum, Machine Minimum philosophy and further focuses on offering the passengers with sheer driving pleasure along with optimum space.


This enticing MPV is based on Honda Brio's platform, however it looks totally different from its siblings as it gets premium looks and chrome additions across its profile. It comes with elegantly designed exteriors that showcase large front grille with bold chrome slat inspired from companys new Exciting H Design concept. In addition, the Mobilio gets sculpted bumper with oval fog lamps fitted in black mesh plastic housing. Besides, this crossover gets attractive 15 inches alloy wheels and the wheel base of 2650 mm along with ground clearance of 189 mm that ensures easy drive on roads. The rear also gets much attractive with the Faux LED tail lamp cluster that is inspired from Honda City.

The all new Honda Mobilio is now available in seven exciting colour options Majestic Blue Metallic, Brilliant Gold Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Carnelian Red Pearl, Taffeta White, Urban Titanium Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl (for the RS trim).


It will get 2-din stereo system like its siblings, the Amaze and the Brio and will also feature USB and AUX-IN Connectivity. To ensure maximum comfort at the second and third row, the company has blessed this MPV with the roof mounted AC vents, sliding and reclining second row and reclining third row seats. The materials used in the interiors look of great quality.

Engine, Performance and Mileage

Honda Mobilio is offered in 1.5 L Petrol and 1.5 L Diesel engine options. Its 1.5 L i-DTEC diesel engine churns maximum power of 98 bhp and maximum torque of 200 Nm, while its 1.5 L i-VTEC petrol engine churns maximum power of 117 bhp and maximum torque of 145 Nm. Moreover, both the engines are mated to a five speed manual transmission. The Mobilio is an impeccable product in terms of fuel efficiency. Its 1.5 L i-DTEC power-train delivers mileage of 24.2 Km/l while its 1.5 L i-VTEC diesel power-train delivers mileage of 17.3 kmpl. (Mileage as per ARAI test results)

He added that the Honda engineers have utilized their expertise to create the impeccable Mobilio using the same technical know-how and design philosophy. He also commented that India is one of the key strategy market for the company and is sure that Mobilio will contribute to its significant growth in India.

The importance of Honda Mobilio for HCIL Business was also narrated by the President & CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd., Mr. Hironori Kanayama. He stated that the launch of Honda Mobilio will follow the success story of the Amaze sedan and the new City, which contributed around 83 percent growth in previous fiscal year. At present, Hondas portfolio in India is filled up with five fabulous cars i.e. the Brio hatchback, the Amaze compact sedan, the City sedan, the CR-V SUV and the newly launched Mobilio MPV. Added to this, the company is also planning to introduce, Honda New Accord and Honda New Jazz by this year end and it also plans to introduce the VEZEL urban SUV in India by the first quarter of 2015.
