"You have to be a little crazy at least in the eyes of others.If it was obvious, everybody would have done it," Dell said.
"For an entrepreneur to succeed, he will have to be surround himself with the best talent available," he added.While more than 15,000 startups get funded in Silicon Valley,just 800 startups are funded in India every year.
In a conversation with entrepreneurs, who have just started their ventures, Dell said that entrepreneurs will need to take their own calls on how they want to grow and build their company without soliciting too much of external advice.
Google is the primary sponsor of the Nasscom 10,000 startup initiative along with Microsoft. The initiative was inaugurated by Google Chairman Eric Schmidt in New Delhi in March.The IT industry body is doing such 15 events across the 10 cities, which are traditionally not known as IT cities. It has already got more than 2,000 applications in the first 20 days of the programme.Nasscom will help the selected startups meet successful startups in Silicon Valley apart from resident mentors.
