Delhi donates Rs 6 crore

Delhi Lt Governor BL Joshi on Saturday presented a cheque worth Rs 6 crore to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as contribution for Tsunami-affected people from the Delhi government.

The amount, donated to the Prime Ministers National Relief Fund, has been raised by various departments of the state government. While Rs 2 crore have been contributed by the Delhi Administration, an equal amount has been provided by DDA and Rs 30 lakh have been raised by its employees.
