CSK had a home match against Royal Challengers Bangalore scheduled on May 18, followed by another match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 22. Apart from that Chepauk would have hosted a Qualifier on May 27 and an Eliminator on May 28.
"We have received an official communication from the franchise and a meeting will be held in Mumbai tomorrow to sort out the venue due to Chepauk's inability to host the matches," a top IPL official told PTI today.
It is learnt that at least two of the four matches could be shifted to Ranchi while Eden Gardens could be compensated for losing out on the KKR versus Mumbai Indians match by getting one of the Eliminator or Qualifier.
