Classteacher Learning Systems has launched yet another, affordable and good quality tablet in India, Classpad Tablet. Though its a bit costlier than Aakash tablet but worth the price.
Before the launch of Aakash, people who couldnt afford an Apple iPad or Samsung Galaxy Tab thought that they can actually get their hands on a nice tablet: just because of the low price, but when it actually came out of the box many of them, if not all, were unhappy. Yes, it is cheaper but also in quality.
Classteacher Learning Systems probably had a better idea in their mind so they are out with a better device which has a better processing capacity, a much richer display, longer battery life and it comes in a protective casing.
If we talk about the display quality, it is better than Aakash which has a cheap resistive touchscreen which needs pressure with the touch while the one we are bragging about has a capacitive touchscreen, just touch and itll respond.
Classpad tablet has a Cortex A8 (1 GHz) processor which also beats Ubislate 7. So, you can expect that the apps will work smoothly even when you are using multiple apps at a time. And the battery backup is quite good too. You can listen to music for up to 17 hours or watch a movie of 4.5 hours or browse your favourite websites for 6 hours, now thats not bad at this price tag.
The tablets operating system can be a disappointment factor for some users as it is running on Android v4.0.4. Apart from these, it also has a front camera of 0.3 megapixel, 3.5 mm headphones jack, Wi-Fi, built-in microphone and stereo speakers. You can transfer the display to a bigger screen using a HDMI cable (1080p and 720p supported). It also has a 1 GB of RAM and internal memory of 8 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB via MicroSD.
Classpad facilitates personalised and interactive learning in the classroom. Various content modules for
K-12 are easily accessible on the Classpad. The unique solutions of ClassteacherAssessment Centre and iPerform are also integrated in the Classpad.
It changes the experience of accessing textbooks for both students and teachers, says a company official.
As a student, you can improve the understanding of a concept by giving proper attention to the class lessons and get immediate results of the assessments to further enhance the learning. You can also store dozens of eBooks without increasing the weight of your school bag and read them on this device whenever and wherever you want.
Teachers can now utilise teaching hours for explaining a given topic in detail and students can download teachers notes instantly and give their undivided attention to lessons. Students can also attempt multiple assessment modules and quizzes, which can also be scored instantly, saving the teachers time to plan their classroom modules.
Teachers can transfer content from the server machine to this device, the official adds. You can give your notes or other material to students instantly, take tests without any trouble and also share the classwork through the tablet application.
Classpad tablet can definitely take the classroom experience to the next level to make learning digital and easy. The price you pay for the tablet is worth. Classpad EduTablet for Grade 5 is available for R9,999 on Flipkart.
