The multipurpose cargo berth proposed for the Mumbai Port Trust will entail a capacity addition of 4.5 MTPA and will benefit industries located in the hinterland, it said. These projects will bring in the latest technology and will be in line with global standa-rds. These facilities will boost export-import trade and redu-ce transaction costs by impro-ving efficiency in handling operations, the release added.
The CCEA has also approved modifications in the Mega Food Park Scheme guidelines of infrastructure development for food processing. These modifications are envisaged to streamline the implementation of the scheme and are expected to trigger further investment in the food processing sector.
