The study, released on Thursday, found that the reputation of the dealer as a purchasing reason has increased 11% during the past five years. Owners who selected their dealer based on his reputation, availability of the exact model and hassle-free negotiation pay an average of 4% more for their vehicle than those who chose a dealer for other reasons, such as location or getting the best deal.
Toyota ranked highest with a score of 866, performing well across all factors. Maruti ranked second with a score of 860. Honda, Hyundai and Mahindra were tied at the third place with 859 each.
