Union Budget 2014-15 was presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the Lok Sabha in New Delhi on Thursday.

Here are the top measures and their impact:

* 10-year tax holiday extended for the power sector till March 31, 2017

Will help in expediting the 12th Plans capacity addition programme for the sector

* Customs and excise duty exemption for renewable power equipment

Boost to green generation and equipment manufacturing

* Clean Energy Cess on coal and lignite doubled to Rs 100 a tonne

This will generate more funds to subsidise green energy projects

* Coal linkages to be rationalised

Fuel availability will improve for new power plants

* Rs 500 cr set aside for separation of rural feeder

Will help improve power supply in rural areas

* No road map on LPG price reform

ONGC to continue to reel under subsidy burden
