Calling for an all out movement against the Narendra Modi government, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Monday that the BJPs scoreboard in Bengal will be wiped into a big zero soon. Bengal is not the place for communal politics, she added.

Speaking at the rally organised on the occasion of Martyrs Day, observed to commemorate the killing of 13 Congress workers in 1993, Banerjee invited real Leftists to join TMC . The rally, which paralysed the city for several hours, was attended by nearly a million people.

Within a month of coming to power, the BJP government has increased rail fares, price of gas and petrol and other essential commodities. They could not keep their pre-election promises. TMC will fight against them. And today, I am asking all my people to intensify a full-fledged movement against the BJP government, Mamata said.

Referring to the increase in BJPs vote share in this election, Mamata said: A new party in Bengal has been flying high after a little increase in the vote share. That party had one seat earlier and in this election the tally went up by one. After winning two seats, they are talking big. But I am telling you today that these two seats would never be converted into three. In the next election these two seats would be wiped into a big zero.
