Launching a blistering attack on the Chief Minister, Harsh Vardhan alleged Arvind Kejriwal had promised he wont accept any post even if his party won the election. From the very first day, it became evident that his claims of being a common man was nothing but a sham. The very first day, he breached Metro security by allowing video-recordings of him travelling in the Metro and by disrupting the travel schedule of ordinary passengers, Harsh Vardhan claimed.
Escalating the attack, he alleged, Kejriwal promised he wont take security cover. But on December 28, police were there in strength to protect him at Ramlila Maidan, where he and his ministers took oath. On the pretext of a public oath-taking ceremony, he blew up crores of taxpayers hard-earned money.
Kejriwal promised to pass the Jan Lokpal Bill on December 29. He also promised to end VIP culture. But his own ministers took to commuting in expensive cars bearing VIP numbers. Against his promise, Kejriwal chose a duplex 10-bedroom bungalow on the posh Bhagwan Dass Road as his residence. But in the face of public displeasure, he was forced to take a smaller accommodation, he said.
According to Harsh Vardhan, Kejriwals announcement of free water up to 667 litres per month will only benefit three per cent of the citys population.
The AAP had promised to bring down the electricity bills of all households in Delhi by 50 per cent. But now, it has decided to provide 50 per cent relief only on 400 units. This means the scheme will not benefit those households, which consume more than 400 units... Kejriwal has misled people, Harsh Vardhan alleged. He stopped the janta durbar.
Three lakh temporary government employees were promised permanent jobs. With no relief in sight, temporary DTC employees and government schoolteachers have taken to public protests, he claimed.
