The decision was taken after an emergency meeting of pilots associated with the Indian Commercial Pilot's Association here following assurances from the airline management about payment of their allowances.
"Airline management has assured us that they would make payment of all our due allowances by tomorrow, so we have deferred our stir," said a member of ICPA.
The ICPA, erstwhile union of Indian airlines pilots, had decided to go on "no pay, no work" agitation after airlines failed to make payment of their due allowances.
The ICPA had called an emergency meeting at Delhi and were to discuss about the future course of action.
Air India is all set to enter Star Alliance and they have to meet several parameters to enter the alliance, which would also give a boost to the Air India's turnaround plan.
