Speaking exclusively with Financial Express Online about the new development, Kapil Bagla, chief executive officer, Adlabs, said, We are all set to launch the 'Aquamagica' by this August. This new waterpark will be a completely different experience in India, with all international standards. For us the second half of the year i.e from October to April is a very crucial period as it is the peak season. So I think we are launching Aquamagica at a perfect time.
Also, Adlabs Imagica is planning to setup a hotel inside the park. This hotel will have an inventory of 281 rooms and will also include MICE facilities such as a large banquet hall and conference rooms. The name of the hotel has still not been confirmed.
Speaking about the hotel, Bagla, said, The hotel was a necessity, as we already are focusing a lot into the MICE space. This hotel will be launched in a phased manner, we will launch the first phase in December with an inventory of 110 to 115 rooms and the rest will be completed within six months of the launch.
Recently, Adlabs Imagica crossed the one million mark. The park has received over 2.2 lakh school children from 550 schools across various cities in India.
Bagla, commented, We have created an international standard theme park in India so that people can spend quality time with their friends and families without having to travel overseas. We are happy to have had one million plus people visit us since we opened last year. We strongly believe people need entertainment options in India and these numbers prove our belief.
